Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the insertion of fine single-use pins into very specific points on the body to affect a healing response. Acupuncture is based on the framework of a complex network of channels and collaterals that is responsible for distributing essential energy and nutrients to every part of our body. Like a water way, these channels can sometimes become blocked resulting in a lack of energy and nutrition getting to certain areas and a build up of waste in other areas. By inserting needles into specific points the flow in the channels can be corrected by removing blockages and redirecting the body's resources to the areas in need. Since the network of meridians connects to and integrates every part of the body, from our skin to our organs, acupuncture may be an important part of your treatment plan.
