During his residency he treated a variety of conditions including concussion, stroke, paralysis, multiple sclerosis (MS), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s disease, fibromyalgia, and Bell’s palsy to name a few. Kevin continues to develop his skills and knowledge through both mentor and self-directed study focusing on both the classical roots of Chinese medicine and the emerging field of functional neurology. Kevin is currently working towards Fellowship with the American College of Functional Neurology.
Kevin believes that healthcare should have a patient-centered approach that emphasizes patient education and working with the patient to achieve their optimum health through minimal intervention. Areas of particular clinical interest to Kevin are neurology, internal medicine, cardiology & respirology, and trauma recovery. In addition to traditional Chinese acupuncture Kevin is also trained in Korean Sa’am acupuncture, the Zhu, Hao, & Lin scalp acupuncture systems, and neuro-anatomical acupuncture.
Outside the clinic, you can find Kevin engaged with a wide variety of community organization providing first aid and aquatic emergency management training to both the public and professional groups. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys practicing Aikido (合気道), hiking, beekeeping, and studying anything about Chinese medicine that he can get his hands on.
